China's total social logistics grew 2.9 percent year on year to 53.5 trillion yuan in the January-February period, the China Federation of Logistics and Purchasing said today. The growth rate of total logistics picked up on the basis of the fourth quarter of last year, and the scale of logistics demand continued to expand.

From the perspective of structure, industrial goods logistics demand accelerated recovery. The logistics demand of steel, non-ferrous metals and other building materials industries improved, and the recovery of industrial upgrading logistics demand was relatively obvious. The total logistics growth of railway, shipping and electrical machinery industries accelerated.

Benefiting from the recovery of domestic demand, the flow of imported goods has stopped falling and picked up, and the total amount of import logistics from January to February increased by 7.8% year on year. In addition, the demand for logistics in the area of people's livelihood continues to accelerate the recovery trend, and the demand for e-commerce logistics is growing well.

From the industry survey data, January and February logistics market vitality gradually enhanced, the main business indicators to achieve a good growth. The business volume of key logistics enterprises increased by more than 16%, and the revenue of logistics business increased by more than 12%.
